-People are so concerned about staying safe online because there have been many incidents that have resulted in a student making suicide or having problems in school as a result of something that was said on social networking sites.

-You are cautioned to never post your full name, age, picture, or location online because if you post your picture and a age a child abuser may be likely to try to contact you. If you also give out your location many people like child abusers would be able to locate you and maybe harm you.

-No, I do not have an adult that I trust and can talk to about online situations that make me feel scared, uncomfortable, or confused.
4. If you found out that one of your friends was making up stories about someone and posting them online, or sending nasty email messages to somebody, what do you think you should do? Stay out of it, because it’s not your problem, or tell someone who could talk to your friend about his or her behavior? (TWO SENTENCES)
-What I think I should do if I found out that one of my friends was making up stories about someone and posting them online, or sending nasty message to somebody, is to confront my friend and tell him to stop. I would not need to tell someone who could talk to my friend because if I just let someone else try to help him when I could myself try to help him I would not be a good friend.
5. What should you do if you get a “friend” request on a social network from someone that you don’t know face-to-face? (ONE SENTENCE)
- When i receive a friend request on social network from someone that I do not know face-to-face would be to first check that persons profile to see if it may or not be a fake profile and ask friends if they would be trust that someone.

-The only networking site that i currently belong to is Facebook. Some characterizations that make it different from other sites would be the games they provide and the feature to be able to always be able to know what your friends would post and what others would post too.
7. Consider the following scenario: Susan posted some pictures of herself on a social network. She set the preferences for her photo album so that only network members who were her “friends” could see the pictures, but later she discovers that people who aren’t on her friend list had also seen the pictures. How is it possible for this to happen? What implications does this have for the types of content you should post online? (TWO SENTENCES)
-It is possible that people would be able to see a picture even if they are not your friends when you set the picture to only friends may view it by being able to hack into your profile or having a friend that saw the picture and posting them on their profile and sharing it with others. The implications that this has for the types of content you should post online would be it being spread to other people and in return they would judge you on the type of picture it is and maybe deciding to choose you as target.
8. How might you use social networking tools to collaborate with students in other classrooms? Can you think of a topic or subject that would be especially interesting to explore in this type of online environment? (TWO SENTENCES)
-You could use social networking tools to collaborate with students in other classrooms by messaging them on the social networking site and talk to them about what you would like to collaborate with them. The type of topic or subject that I would be especiallty interested to explore in this type of online environment would be if I had to do a report that one of my other classmates might have some suggestions about and help me.

Why is it important for members to feel like they can freely share their own opinions, even if their ideas or comments are different from those of other members? How can a sense of acceptance be developed? (TWO SENTENCES)
-It is important for members to feel like they can freely share their own opinions, even if their ideas or comments are different from those of other memebers because many people would like to be able to voice their opinion and have people actually hear or see what they are saying when others may not. A sense of acceptance may be developed because people would either agree or disagree but it would still show them that what they said was actually something that was heard and would feel like they are accepted by people because they are talking to them event if it may be disagreeing with them.
10. Under what conditions do you think a member should be banned from taking part in a social network? What could a banned member do to be allowed to rejoin the network community? (TWO SENTENCES)
- The conditons I think a member should be banned from taking part in a social networking would be them either bullying a person online or have a criminal record of child molestation and other charges related to it. A banned member would be allowed to rejoin the networking community by making a new email and setting up a new profile.
