Perspectives on Cyberbullying

1. Have you ever had a conversation with someone when you had a different point of view? What happened? How did you feel?
-Yes i had a conversation with someone when i had a different point of view. We were able to figure things out better than her trying to figure her problem herself. I fell alright being able to help a friend.

2. Why is it important to understand someone else's perspective?
-It is important to understand someone else's perspective because even though you might think you did something wrong, someone else that saw the action or whatever can tell you their opinion if it was right or wrong and see if what u did or said was justified.

1. Are actions in an online community (like the slurs on the website) different than actions taken offline (like the notes left on Lyla’s locker at the school)? Why, or why not?
-Yes they are different. They are different because online would be public to everyone and offline would only be public to the people in the area where the slurs or actions are.

2. How are anonymous actions – like posting on a website or leaving a note – different from things done face-to-face?
-When you do it face to face, you may confront someone but if they leave a note or post it on a website then you may never know who did it and be less likely to stop the anonymous actions from continueing to happen.

3. Imagine you were a bystander at this school, watching this situation unfold. What do you think you would have done? Do bystanders have a responsibility to do anything?
I would have helped out the target and confronted the offender. No bystanders do not have any responsibulity to do anything.
